My name is Chris, I work as a person-
Alongside my private practice I have 8 years loss and grief counselling experience working in a Hospice. This included working with bereaved clients alongside patients and relatives during illness. I have also facilitated within adult and children’s bereavement support groups and feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to work closely with families during such a difficult and painful time.
In addition, I have experience within the NHS IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) team working with a wide range of presenting issues and feel honoured to have experienced a number of deep and tender relationships.
I was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Counselling in 2013 and in 2014 was awarded a Certificate in Couples and Relationship Counselling. I became an accredited member of the “British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy” (BACP) in 2016 and then in 2017 I was awarded a Certificate of Counselling and Psychotherapy Supervision Practice, which enables me to supervise trainee and qualified counsellors.
More recently I have undertaken some trauma training to become a Trauma Informed Therapist.
I undertake monthly supervision to ensure I continue to work in an ethical way.
I work from home in Middlewich, Cheshire (5 minutes from Junction 18 on the M6).
